Graduate courses in "Arches and vaults in ashlar" (2003-2008) and "History of Spatial Representation" (2004-2008) at the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, as a part of a Ph. D. programme on Architecture and Town Planning. Area Director of the Master's Course on Heritage Conservation, Murcia, 2003-2004. Director of the International Course on "Restoration of Defence Systems on the Mediterranean Coast: Project, Construction, Use", Cartagena, 2006. Lecturer at the Master's Degree on Architectural Conservation at the Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, 2007. Dean of the School of Architecture and Building Engineering of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, 2008 to the present. Director of the Master's Degree on Built Heritage at the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, starting on the academic year 2010-2011. Main researcher of the Research Group on Architecture and Town Planning of the Universidad Politécnica de Cartagena, 2005 to the present.

Associate member of the research project "Construcción en piedra de cantería en el ámbito hispánico: fuentes documentales y patrimonio construido", led by the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, sponsored by the Ministry of Science and Innovation of Spain. Member of the Scientific Commitee of the Sixth Spanish Congress on Construction History, to be held in Valencia in October 2009.
