Information for ParticipantsThe meeting will start in the morning of Wednesday 4th February and continue until early or late afternoon on the 7th February.ARRIVING IN LISBON BY PLANE: Lisbon's Portela airport is connected by metro to the venue and hotels. Take the red line from Aeroporto to Alameda for Hotel A.S. Lisboa, to Saldanha for Instituto Superior Técnico and Hotel Turim Alameda, or change at Saldanha to the yellow line and go one stop to Campo Pequeno for the Hotel Alif. Tickets for the metro can be bought from vending machines at Aeroporto metro station. There is a first row of machines as you approach the station, and turning right or left, two further rows and a ticket office, but be prepared for a wait, as there are often queues. For the Hotel Alif, a good alternative is the Aerobus, line 1, getting off at the stop Campo Pequeno. You can take a taxi from outside the arrivals area, or from outside the departures area / main entrance (the latter is recommended since some taxi drivers at the arrivals section attempt to cheat tourists). The fare should be no more than 8-10 €. You can also get a taxi voucher from Lisbon tourist office, online or at their airport office, but this is more expensive (16 € before 9 p.m., or 19,20 € after 9 p.m.). ARRIVING IN LISBON BY TRAIN: It is best to get off at Oriente station and then take the metro red line from Oriente to the venue or hotels (see under Arriving by Plane). ARRIVING IN LISBON BY COACH: Most coaches will arrive at Sete Rios coach terminal or Oriente coach terminal, both of which have good metro connections to the venue and hotels. From Sete Rios terminal take the blue line at Jardim Zoológico, change at S. Sebastião to the red line and continue to the appropriate final stop (see under Arriving by Plane). From Oriente terminal take the metro red line from Oriente to the venue or hotels (see under Arriving by Plane).
