Against all Odds: Probability & Statistics vs. Geometry

Room FC1 0.31
Friday, 11 March, 2016 - 14:30 to 18:00

1st Dual Meeting of CMUP --- Against all Odds: Probability & Statistics vs. Geometry

This will be the first of a series of meetings where representatives of two research groups or lines within CMUP will give talks whose goal is to give an idea, to all other members of CMUP and anyone interested, of what is being done, inside CMUP, in those groups and lines of research.

The first meeting involves the areas of Probability & Statistics and Geometry.

One of the main objectives of these meetings is to foster new collaborations among researchers, both inside and across different areas, and, therefore, we make a special appeal to ALL members of CMUP to try to attend them.

Given the nature of the meeting, we also encourage all Ph.D. and Master students to attend, as well as interested undergraduates.

This is your chance to get to know some of the work done at CMUP in these two research areas!
