Inês Cruz's Annual Report

Inês Cruz's Annual Report

Year:

2016

Brief description of the research activities:

Continuation of the study of discrete dynamical systems (DDS) using tools of Poisson and symplectic geometry. The role of canonical foliations arising from the geometric structure in the study of the dynamics of these systems.

Motivation: the dynamics of all DDS arising from mutation-periodic quivers (or cluster algebras) takes place in presymplectic manifolds and many examples can also fit into a Poisson framework.
