Pedro V. Silva's Annual Report 2013

Year:

2013

Brief description of the research activities:

Most of my research in 2013 was focused on boolean representable simplicial complexes. Various new results were obtained, such as: (a) geometric methods for computing the lattice of flats of a boolean representable simplicial complex of dimension 2 from a boolean matrix; (b) characterization of shellability for boolean representable simplicial complexes of dimension 2; (c) finite basis problems for prevarieties of simplicial complexes (classes closed under isomorphism and restriction). These and other results were collected in a monograph written with John Rhodes (Berkeley), completed in 2014.
