Brief description of the research activities:
The work that I had been developing within the research project DSL (Developing statistical literacy) continued during 2015, though the project officially ended in this year. The research work was focused on teachers' didactical knowledge, mainly regarding measures of variability in statistics. The analysis process of the data that were collected by the project's team move forward and allowed, in particular, the characterization of the various dimensions of teachers' didactical knowledge regarding statistics and measures of variability. At the same time, I maintained my interest in the topic of classroom communication and worked on the theorization of classroom communication within an exploratory approach to teaching and learning (inquiry-based teaching). Drawing from the work developing in another research project (which ended in 2014), I continued working on inclusive mathematical competitions in a design research approach. Data were collected and started being analyzed. Another topic that deserved my attention in 2015 was the use of mathematical trails in teacher education, focusing, amongst other aspects, on developing prospective teachers' problem posing abilities and their mathematical creativity.
