We consider the notions of ontogenesis and phylogenesis in the context of dynamical systems. These notions were introduced for cellular automata in a previous work in which we studied different processes such as recombination, assembly and mutation. In the talk we will develop further this topic, introducing metabolic and regulatory processes. This is a joint work with Marta Riera.
